Adam was born in Portsmouth in the UK and studied languages (Spanish and Italian) at Exeter University after which he worked in translation and language training for 2 years.

Mr Griffin’s appointment as Ambassador to Hungary was announced by the Foreign Minister the Hon Kevin Rudd MP, on 12 May 2011. Mr Griffin presented his Credentials to HE Mr Pál Schmidt on 18 August 2011. Since 19 January 2012, Mr Griffin has been Ambassador (non-resident) to Romania.
